 Social Secretary’s Report:

I was going to bring a bottle of Port for being on the signal but I forgot.

We are now booked in for Saturday 18th June for the Ladies Night at 1900 for a 1930 start at The New Continental Hotel. Cost is £75 for a pair of tickets for paid up members and £85 for non paid members and guests.  A proforma will be sent out with meal preferred meal choices. If there are any particular dietary requirements let me know as soon as possible.

Due to me getting married in August and being on the signal and going on course this will be the final event that I am able to organise.

Vice President:

Before I read out the VP’s message I must state that this is still in the drafting stage at present and once we’re all happy with it, we can put it to the vote in this years AGM that we adhere to it

“Please can you present this document at the next GI’s meeting which I cannot attend as I have family commitments. I hope the Association sees the work that Mike Walker has done with some of my input. I know some areas will be a discussion point within the association however I feel that if we do not invite the LS(AWW) at an early stage, the WCGI’s may not carry on once the old and semi old pass on”

GI Walker then read out the draft constitution.

Presidents Report:

April 2015’s meeting was in Gibraltar, just thought I would say that. Thank you to GI Prout for organising it, not sure if I mentioned it before.

Thank you once again for everyone’s attendance last month which resulted with us retaining our trophy against the TAS’is Association. I have to say it was a close one.

Next month comes with an invite to the current Killicks course, we are not migrating over to Raleigh for the meeting though. PO’s course has been cancelled and only 5 on the Killicks course.

The branch ethos which was compiled by GI Prout is now fully signed off by FLEET and is in the process of distribution throughout the Fleet.

GI Nuttycombe, Morgan G, McKie

       Sick Note:

       GI Pilkington, Smith (RNGIA)

Birthdays in April:

GIs Evers 3rd, Morgan 10th, Lewis 17th & Hind (77 on the 25th). Happy Birthday to you all.

Presidents Charity:

Last month myself, VP and GI Curnow went over to Hamoaze House to see the future sensory room and had a tour of the building. I have to say it was a humbling experience and we all left with an uplifted feeling that our association is able to make a positive impact on these people. As I’ve mentioned before they have a very can do ethos and a cheque of £508.00 has been sent by the treasurer so that they may purchase suitable equipment for the room. It was my decision to entrust the money to them as they know exactly what they need and it speeds up the process of providing the aid required than myself and the treasurer as 3rd party investors.
