Message from Elaine Walton

Hi Ty

Just thought I would give you a quick update to let you know that Emma had her op in early July and is doing really well. It was a bit strange at first but this was to be expected as she had to get used to a whole different way of walking and learn to balance and do a whole heap of things in a different way. She very quickly started walking upstairs without splints or crutches and is coping very well. She has lots of exercise ahead of her to do but the initial results of the op are brilliant and we are really pleased with the outcome. Emma has gone back to work in Chessington so we will not see her until Christmas, so we are looking forward to seeing what progress she will have made by then.

Many thanks again for the money you raised to help us.

Regards

Elaine

I popped into the Top Shop Chippie and spoke to Mr & Mrs Walton, they showed me some before and after video’s of Emma walking. Considering the recovery process can take up to two years to see the final result the improvement in her gait in just a few months is amazing. Emma is doing really well and seems to be going from strength to strength.
