Social Secretary’s Report:
Ladies night, we have had 3 people involved in the Ladies
night which is 2 people to many in my opinion. The running
of the Ladies night has been handed over to the V P.
Numbers for the ball stand at 73 and it is intended to get
through the meal quickly so the ladies can have a boogie.
I am looking at trying to get a day out preferably a
Saturday, to do something as an association, at the
football, rugby, golf, horses, anything as a group. Also
possibly holding a meeting on board a warship.
A landmark meeting being our 300. The August meeting
sometimes we skip it, a show of hands to have an August
meeting, looks like it could be on. A sincere but belated
congratulations to our latest member on the POs signal Nobby
Hall, so well done. (Nobby Clarke, not Nobby Hall) A bottle
of port from the Prez.
Move on to the A.G.M. There should be more than just 2

Dear Ty I got the e-mail reference Alex Pugh funeral From
Mike Smith. Sadly was arraigning to come down for the
funeral but my car is still in the garage being repaired and
will not be available until next week. Alex was my FCPOGI at
Dartmouth when I was CTO, in the early 70’s we were a great
team and became good friends. Over the years I lost contact
as one does. So could you convey on my behalf to the family
my deepest sympathy at his passing, always remembered as a
good friend and a great G I. I will have a qiet moment with
him on Friday.
