Social Secretary’s Report:
We haven’t had one for ages G I Lynch is not here tonight
but he left a brief. At some point shortly a brief will be
put out in soft and hard copy concerning Ladies Night. It
has been booked for Saturday 18th July to be held
at RMB Stonehouse. There will be accommodation available if
required. Tickets for Ladies Night will be £60 for members
and £70 for non members and it will be a 5 course meal with
all the things we are used to. Price of accommodation as yet
undetermined. The branch dinner at the moment will be going
ahead in November but some one needs to step up to the plate
to run with it. I would prefer not to cancel again this
Apologies I am in Crete until April working. Considering a
G I golfing day We’ll see what interest there is. Novices
Jan’s funeral will take place in Bodmin. I think the
different mediums for getting the information out was pretty
effective. On behalf of Mrs Rodda and myself I’d like to
thank everyone who stepped up for carrying him and also the
more senior guys who were up for it. I don’t want you guys
to pick up an injury so those in date for their RNFT will do
the lifting and shifting on your behalf.
On a lighter note most of you will have a two month break
from my multi toned voice. I apologise in advance for next
month as I am at a concert and the month after is the
meeting in Gib.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU ALL
We should reach the £500 for the Presidents charity tonight.
I can’t thank you enough for that. Bearing in mind we didn’t
have a raffle in August and the November money goes to the
RBL this money that we’ve raised through a little bit of fun
is going to something worth while. The money made from now
until July will top up our coffers and it has taken a bit of
a battering just lately so please continue to dig deep or
just give what you can.
I’ve spoken to Elaine at the chippy and I’m planning to get
some press attention for handing over a cheque to them. I’ve
got a big cheque ordered from the bank and at some point I
will be in touch with everyone if they would like to be in
the phot. It would be good exposure for their business, good
press for us but above all more awareness for their daughter
G I Lester has added a memorial page for those who may want
to leave a tribute to Jan
I’ve been in touch with Ray quite a bit this past month
about changes to the web site. There is a section on the
Presidents charity now so those who wish to can see exactly
where the money they’ve helped raise goes. I also intend to
put up all the stuff we have done in the past so that our
history is preserved.
There’s also a social serials tab which has a 2015 longcast.
The intention on this tab is to put the information about
our ou social serials here . Proformas and that that kind of
thing will be available as PDF’s and Word doc’c docs to
download as well as the usual e-mails that get sent out.
The members list will instigated and published. If you want
to add a brief history of your career then please give Ray a
Portsmouth site has been taken down for the time being, it
will be up and running when Mike gets on to it.
