RNGI WebMaster:

Ref: PO(M) and AWW’s Courses:

PO(M)s I have had no replies re my request last month. Therefore would all exPO(M) who qualified after  PO(M) course 200 of 2001, e-mail me with their course number (start & finish) date if known and their official number (and name plus initial of anyone else in the course) if your memory is that good.

Gwilym (Taff) Rees is heading to Australia next year for the British Lions Rugby Tour and is hoping to meet up with ex CPO(OPS)(M) Roger SINDEN who has emigrated to upside down land.  Some of you may remember Roger—as a CPO(OPS)(M) he was the best Chippie a ship could have!

If anyone knows of Roger’s whereabouts or a contact address, please let the Prez know soonest.

Regards From:  The Prez bumped into Richie Gough outside the St Levan.  He was down for the Type 21 weekend and sent his Best to all who know him.  He hopes, at some stage, to make it down for a GI’s Serial in the not too distant future.

Raffle Prize donators: GI’s Dobson K, Boyle, Curnow, Richardson (Dx2), Archer, MacCallum, Cook, Nutt BEM and Lewis.

(Prez: Thanks Guy)

Next Raffle:  GI’s Morgan, Richardson, McKie, Baker x2 (D), Bennett X2 (D),

Due to a CLERICAL ERROR the list of donators for the July Raffle has gone missing, however, those who nominated themselves are sure to remember who they are.

Raffle Winners: GI’s Richardson x 2, Lewis, Thurston x 2, MacCallum x 2, Curnow, Potts and Luker.  Thank-you for your contributions.  Tonight’s raffle raised £155.

AOB:

GI Morgan: I am actively trawling for sponsorship of my youth football team for next season.  So if anyone knows of any businesses that could sponsor to the sum of £500 – 600 I would be very grateful.

GI Potts:  Did pass on his apologies for his attire this evening.  He would have been proudly wearing his GI’s Association t-shirt, but he still hasn’t received it!!

Our President went on to explain why a certain few of the members had still not received their t-shirts and assured us that the situation will be resolved as swiftly as possible.

GI MacCallum: Thank you Mac for your humorous tales, always a pleasure. It’s good to be back!

GI Manning:  Asked the members if any of them had had the pleasure of attending a “Speed Awareness Course”.  In Gregg’s opinion he recommends that anyone caught speeding just take the fine and points as the course is a waste of time. As a bundle, you have to take a day off work, so you lose a day’s pay and you have to pay £18 for the pleasure of attending.  Work it out, the cost of the course and the cost of your speeding ticket probably adds up to your loss of earnings.

GI Boyle:  Was wandering if the Association would consider donating charity money to his friend who is suffering from Alzheimer’s. His condition has deteriorated that badly he now wakes up in a morning and cannot remember whether he puts on trousers or a skirt. (at this point Terry places a photograph on the table of GI MacCallum wearing a kilt).

The Meeting closed at 2038

The 265th Meeting will be held on Thursday 14th June 2012 at the St.Levans Inn.

That’s All Folks. Subs are now due for 2012.  Please pay GI Cook ASAP.

Still only £10 per annum plus a £5 joining fee.  Full Members get a £5 discount for the Ladies Night Dinner and the Branch Dinner so why not pay up now and feel better for paying less at these prestigious Serials.
