Royal Navy Gunnery Branch 1960-2010, HMS Cambridge and Royal Naval Gunnery Instructors Association

I am unsure whether the Social Sec got any business from these but I shall keep plugging it.

AOB:

GI Nuttycombe:  This is probably is my last Meeting for a while as the appearance of my name on the Signal has inspired the appointers to send me up to Faslane to take over in P Squadron.

GI Nutt BEM:  Will unfortunately be absent from the Ladies Night, but with good reason.  Mr & Mrs Nutt will be celebrating their 30th Wedding Anniversary on the island of Jersey.  Because he had already promised the Social Sec a bottle of port, and not being one to go back on his word, he presented the Social Sec with a “Special Reserve” bottle of port to be placed on his table for his consumption as thanks for organising this year’s event.

GI Baker T:  Informed us that he had been employed in RNR Cambria for about two months now and he has never been more reminded that some things are not as good as they look!!!!  Apart from that my glam pad is excellent and the day job is cushy - one in two routine for Friday forenoons - loving it really.

GI FMTH Roberts A: Wanted know what was happening at Raleigh for the 30 Year Falklands Remembrance? (Prez: Robbie, check your emails from Torpoint RBL for details)

As we know, the Captain of Raleigh wishes only Cornwall South Atlantic Medal holders to be on Parade Friday 15th June so any SAM holders from Cornwall should get in touch with Torpoint RBL or the Captain’s Personal Assistant for further information.

GI Cook:  On the 29th April I will be running in the Stratford –upon-Avon Half Marathon in aid of Plymouth Oncology Outpatients Hospital at Derriford.  Can I ask for your kind sponsorship towards this good cause?  Please get in touch and I will add your name to my sponsorship form - thank you very much.

The Meeting closed at 2052

The 263rd Meeting will be held on Thursday 12th April 2012 at the St.Levans Inn.
