As of the meeting I had not received all bills for the
Ladies Night and so could not announce the Social
Secretary’s gain or loss. Since the meeting I have now
received all bills and will announce at the May meeting the
Social Secretary’s achievements!!
I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to Terry Boyle for
organising an outstanding evening at the Ladies Night. I am
looking forward to next year’s event already.

Thanked everybody for attending the Ladies Night and was
glad to hear that you and your guests enjoyed themselves
Next social event in the calendar year is our BBQ which we
hope will be held again within the NMT compound at HMS
Raleigh & I will be hoping that like last year I can leave
that to the guys who work within the NMT.
Further afield, I have been in contact with the Senior Rates

Association Website: After some
deliberation it was decided to end our contract regarding
westcountrygunners.co.uk, as Scouse was unable to make many
amendments to it. At the 250th Meeting GI Ray
Lester approached the Committee and enquired as to whether
we might like him to set up one? He already administers
several and has said that he would be delighted to do
one for us. Could I kindly request Members to have a
perusal of the following link:
http://www.jacks-corner.com/gunners/minutes.htm with a
view to a decision being made at the next General Meeting?
The cost will be £9 for the first year and £25 annually

charity funds? Explained to Robbie that the President is on

As you may or may not be aware I have some photos from the
Gents Night last year. For the last six months I have been
trying to send out these photos as an attachment, but with
no success. I have also tried to download them on to a disc
and again met with no success. It has to be something wrong
with my computer and I promise to get the problem sorted so
as to get these photos out to you all.
Many many thanks to Terry for such a wonderful evening.

Knee jerk reaction within HMS Drake regarding the incident

contact the sickbay and question whether the personnel are
of sound mind and fit to shoot.
GI Dixon RNZN:
Would like to pass on my thanks for being accepted this
evening, I am currently in the UK for Ope
ration Longlook over the next 3

and have since been very proud to be part of the gunnery
branch in our navy.
From the mess in Drake there is no bad feedback whatsoever,
they were glad to host us and enjoyed themselves as much as
we did. All in all last year has been swept under the carpet
and we are well back to projecting ourselves as a proud
